Origin of the name “Bay Area Action”

Bay Area Action, the nonprofit which operated from 1990 to 2000, should not be confused with 350 Bay Area Action, which is a climate activism organization that has operated from 2012 to present.

The Bay Area Action History Project is a nonprofit ensuring historians, academics, journalists, and everyday citizens have access in perpetuity to the archives of the influential 1990s environmental group Bay Area Action.

We’re digitizing and organizing the archives of Bay Area Action, and putting them all online.
We rely on your donations
We rely entirely on donations from readers. Please consider supporting the project.

The Bay Area Action History Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Media Alliance is the fiscal sponsor of this project; EIN #94-2563400. Donations go to  Media Alliance and are then distributed to the BAA History Project less a 9.5% administrative fee.
