Bio

Bill Weber was a BAA founder, early organizer, and BAA Council member in 1990 (then called the Steering Committee). As leader of the Recycling Project he led efforts to spread adoption of recycling, especially among Palo Alto businesses, and helped develop the Bay Area Recycling Guide.

Along with Jeff Hoover, Bill was one of BAA’s IT experts who helped set up the Mac network and other systems when moving from the first floor to the basement on Emerson Street. In 1992 Bill helped publish the BAA newsletter by handling the design and layout.

In 2000 Bill was one of several contributors to the Tech Fund, which raised funds to upgrade BAA’s elderly Mac computers. He was also a sponsor of Earth Day 1998.

Music

In the early ’90s Bill often played at the BAA Café events with Bob Valdez in The Buzz, Grasshopper, or his own band called Bill Weber and Company. In the later ’90s Bill played at BAA fundraisers in a band called Sheepdog.
